Language People is a curated exhibition that explores the nature of verbal and visual language. Across painting, video installation and cartooning the artists engage with language.

Along side established painter Lily Laita, pacific writer Albert Wendt, will showcase new paintings, while emerging artists Linda Tanoai, Vaimaila Urale and Nooroa Tapuni narrate and document with video Installations. Fellow artists and cartoonists, Johnny Angel and Nooroa Te Hira both tell pacific stories through cartooning.

Mua Strickson-Pua is a poet, artist and community educator who will host the exhibition’s spoken word event. This free event will run from 5.30pm to 7pm on Tuesday 10 March.
