“…In my art, I’ve been exploring how commodities’ trading affects poor communities. I’ve been exploring cacao (chocolate) and rice. Chocolate, being a luxury, and rice being a staple food worldwide. When there was a market manipulated “shortage” of rice several countries had riots as the cost of rice was too high for poor communities to afford. I know this may seem like a tangent, but all of these interests led me to the this Project in Amman…”
